Syedna Abdut-Tayyeb Zakiuddin (RA)
4th Safar , 1200 H. Burhanpur

The benevolence of Syedna Abdut -Tayyeb Zakiuddin (RA) , the 41st Dai al Mutlaq , is legendary . it is related that Syedna (RA) bought a piece of land intending to build his residence upon it . When the digging was in process , a chest of rubies was excavated with a tablet that identified the owner of the treasure and the year in which it was buried . Syedna Zakiuddin (RA) searched for the descendants of the owner and returned the treasure to them. The rightful owners were so poor that Syedna sent their travel fare so that they could come to Jamnager and collect their inheritance.

Syedna had committed the entire Quran to memory by the age of ten and his written script was unparalleled in beauty . He conducted wazz every Thursday; he strictly forbade gambling and the drinking of alcohol. He customized the recitation of taqarubb after every namaaz and Yaseen and Innallah after fajr namaaz .

Syedna (RA) remained steadfast in face of the rebellion of Majud Laeen. Syedna Moayyed (RA) wrote to Syedna Zakiuddin (RA) who was then in Jamnager to warn him that Majud was on his way there. Syedna (RA) replied that the people of Jamnager were so loyal to their Dai that even if Iman-uz-zamaan appeared and announced himself , they would say to him: Only if our Dai commands us will we perform sajda for you.

Syedna’s ikhlaas is unparalleled. Addressing Dai-z-zamaan Syedna Moayyed (RA), he said, “when I am in your presence, I feel I am in the hazrat of Imam uz zamaan (AS), indeed In the hazrat of Panjatan (SA). this conviction became deeply entrenced in the hearts of mumineen.

The second qubba in Burhanpur is that of Syedna Zakiuddin(RA). On his deathbed Syedna willed that he not be buried beside Syedi Abdulqadir Hakimuddin (RA) as a mark of reverence for the unequalled shaan of Maula Hakimuddin (RA) - an illustration of Syedna Zakiuddin’s (RA) ikhlass and humility .

Syedi AbdulQader Hakimuddin
Wafaat : 5th Shawaal, 1142 H. Urs day also commemorated on 27th Shawaal each year.

Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin (A.Q) was privileged to be a descendent from a family of virtuous saints. He was born in 1142 H corresponding to 1730AD during the time of Syedna Ismail Badruddin II (R.A) and had the honour to serve five Duat Kiram (R.A). Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin (A.Q) authored a vast treasure of Kutub-ud-Dawat (religious texts) and wrote thousands of poetic verses in praise of Ahle Bait (S.A). Amongst the numerous beneficial traditions and benevolent rituals that he established, Sabil-ul-Khaire-wal-Barakaat, which is a collection of nominal sums from Mumineen to spend on their welfare is one of them.

Unfortunate as it was, some foes of Dawat with deceitful of intentions approached the local authorities and unjustly complained the burial of Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin (A.Q) to be conducted in contrast to principles of Shariat. This eventuated to a forceful digging of Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin's (A.Q) Qabar Mubarak (grave) by the authorities even as Mumineens' pleas were deliberately unheeded. One and all witnessed Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin's (A.Q) miraculously composed posture even after twenty-one days in Qabar Mubarak. A fragrance of musk emanated from him. Mumineen once again, buried him a little further away from where his initial Qabar Mubarak was on 27th Shavvalul Mukarram. Apparently, Mumineen therefore observe Urs Mubarak (death anniversary) of Syedi Abdulqadar Hakimuddin's (A.Q) twice during the year.

Hakimuddin as he was by name and virtue, many a person procured physical solace and spiritual enlightenment from his teachings and guidance. Even today, hundreds of thousands gather at his Roza Mubarak to fulfil their hopes and aspirations and never return disappointed.
